EVERYDAY you can be raising money for Humane Society of Mason County!

Every day, nearly 1,700 dogs and cats are killed in America's shelters simply because they don't have safe places to call home. That number should be zero. That’s why our team participated in Best Friends Animal Society’s Strut Your Mutt event in 2021 to raise money for animals. 

Every year, our organization is inundated with cats and kittens seeking their forever homes and with no shelter, we must rely on foster volunteers to help out.  But sadly, we do not have enough foster volunteers to care for them all.  The funds we raised in 2021 will help to support a new partnership we have formed with the Mission Creek Corrections Center for Women in Belfair and their Pawsitive Prison Project and Cat Adoption Program. Through this program, HSMC provides all the food, litter, transport and medical supplies needed to care for the foster cats, and Mission Creek pairs cats in need of fostering with the women trained as cat handlers.  HSMC will fully fund this program through donations received, including those raised by Strut Your Mutt.
