HSMC is hiring! As we expand our reach into the community we have opened an additional position to work with our dedicated volunteers, assist the public, and further our mission of making a difference in the lives of our community’s pets and their people. If you have administrative and reception services experience, enjoy a fast-paced day with a ton of variation, and most importantly believe  in our mission, consider applying today. Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

​The Humane Society of Mason County (HSMC) is seeking a dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to help lead its growing veterinary services program and advance its mission of delivering low cost high-quality, high volume spay/neuter to community pets. This role is ideal for a passionate, skilled technician who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume spay/neuter clinic and is committed to animal welfare. 

Responsibilities include managing anesthesia and surgical flow, handling controlled substances, supporting foster and community patients as needed, training staff and volunteers, and ensuring excellent client communication. 

As a key team leader, the LVT will help maintain efficient clinic operations while promoting low-stress handling, disease control, and compassionate care. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact in underserved communities while working with a small but mighty, collaborative, and mission-driven team.

Full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance, with HSMC contributing approximately 50% toward premium costs. Paid time off and sick leave begin accruing on day one. The compensation range for this position is $28–$33 per hour and is designed to reflect expected growth in the role over time.
