Our Last Litter program is aimed to help end the cycle of unwanted births and help animals find loving forever families. Once the babies are weaned, we will spay the mom for a reduced fee. The mom will be returned to you. The babies will come into our program where they will receive all the care they need until they are mature enough to be spayed/neutered and made available for adoption. If you have a dog or cat who has recently had a litter of puppies or kittens and need assistance, please complete the appropriate Last Litter application. Please note that our ability to accept new litters into our program is dependent upon our foster care capacity.
We understand that giving up a pet is a heart-wrenching decision. We know you want what is best for your pet, and we want that too. There are many reasons that a person feels that surrendering a pet is necessary, including a lack of funds to provide basic care, the pet having expensive medical care needs, challenging living situations, the pet's behavioral problems, the death or illness of the pet's primary caregiver, and life changes.
Surrender Prevention We're here to help as best as we can. In many instances, there are resources available that can enable a person to keep their beloved pet. Please view our Community Pet Support page for local resources and guidance. If your pet is having behavioral challenges, our Pet Care Resource Library might be helpful.
Rehoming Guide You are your animal's best advocate. You know them better than anyone, and they are likely most comfortable at home with you until their new family can be found. By searching for an adopter yourself, you're able to select the person you feel is the best fit for your pet. The person might even be willing to send updates on how your pet is doing once they've been adopted.
Surrender and Rehoming Options If surrendering your pet is the only/best solution, please complete our surrender application. Please note that our organization is foster-based and our ability to accept a pet into our program is dependent upon the availability of our foster network.
