Recruited from within the community, our board members bring a wealth of experience from varied backgrounds to help guide our organization. Our board members champion our commitment to animal welfare and are fully engaged in the financial oversight and future planning necessary to ensure the advancement of our mission.

Scott Gordon

Vice President

Real Estate Developer

Scott is currently retired from the Washington State Patrol where he was a Sergeant. During his career he spent 8 years as an Explosive Detection K-9 Handler where he trained and worked 2 separate dogs. Prior to his State Patrol career, he spent 2 years as a Reserve Deputy with the Mason County Sheriff's Department and also worked as an Animal Control Officer with the Kitsap Humane Society. There he worked in the kennels, enforced county and municipal laws related to animals, and completed animal cruelty investigations. Scott currently works for himself in real estate development. Scott is also the President of the Twanoh Falls Beach Club Homeowners Association, a member of the Port of Allyn Water Advisory Committee, and a member of the North Mason Eagles #4226.

Felice Dominguez

Communications & Operations Professional​

Felice brings a background in strategic communications, operations, and human resources, with a passion for building strong teams and meaningful connections. She uses a data-informed, people-first approach to help organizations communicate effectively, work efficiently, and translate information into action that drives lasting impact. A lifelong animal advocate, Felice has spent more than 15 years volunteering with animal rescue organizations across the U.S. She currently serves as an executive board member and foster parent with the Humane Society of Mason County and helps lead the pet food partnership with food banks in Mason County.

Ingrid Hartsock

Independent Fundraising Professional​

Ingrid is a seasoned fundraising professional with 15 years of experience serving nonprofit organizations in Northwest Washington. She specializes in individual giving, special events, corporate giving, grants, and community engagement. Ingrid also works part-time as the Community Engagement Manager for the Port Orchard Farmers Market. She started volunteering at HSMC in 2023 after witnessing the significant need for increased animal welfare services locally. Since joining the board, Ingrid has focused on helping HSMC execute and grow fundraising efforts to better serve all animals (and their families) in need of care and support in our community.

Tina Whittmore

Self Employed, Pawsably Home, LLC

Tina worked for a medical lab as a Financial Analyst for 25 years, while raising two wonderful children. She then opened a dog boarding facility, which has been operating since 2012. She has always been an advocate for animals and has extensive volunteer history with several rescues locally. Tina has trapped countless dogs, assisting with reunification and/or rehoming.
